PRASA I FILM Ltd. was established by Jan Dworak and Maciej Strzembosz in 1994.

The company was one of the first independent audiovisual production companies established in democratic Poland.

Few years later both owners established another production company – STUDIO A. From this moment the division of profiles between two companies was so that PRASA I FILM was devoted to documentaries’ production whereas STUDIO A concentrated on television and feature films production. Both co-owners were involved in developing two firms which soon resulted in gaining a considerable share of the audiovisual market.

Since 1998 until 2007 PRASA & FILM wasn’t an active company on the market (one of the reasons of this was Jan Dworak becoming a Chairman of Board of Polish Public Television – TVP, thus being forbidden to lead any private company).

After leaving TVP Jan Dworak re-bought his shares in the company, which in January 2008 was reactivated by Jan Dworak and Kamila Polit. Currently PRASA & FILM core business activities concentrate on feature and documentary films as well as television production.

In July 2010 Jan Dworak left the company to become a member of the National Broadcasting Council. Kamila Polit has therefore become a Chief Executive Officer of PRASA&FILM. The company has at present three shareholders, namely, Maciej Strzembosz, Kamila Polit and Renata Czarnkowska-Listoś.
